Storvik and Charl-Pol to launch Canadian automation company
Storvik and Canadian technology company Charl-Pol are launching Alumotion, a joint venture focused on robotised solutions for aluminium production.
Through Alumotion, the two companies aim to provide Canadian smelters with modern and proven robotised anode assembly solutions, backed by local engineering, manufacturing, project execution, operation, and long-term service capabilities.
The establishment of Alumotion builds on close co-operation between Storvik and Charl-Pol over the past two years, during which the companies have worked together on project development and identified opportunities to combine their complementary expertise in the Canadian market.

Storvik brings its expertise in developing, integrating, and operating automated systems for the aluminium industry, combining technologies such as robotics, automated handling, vision systems, and condition monitoring.
Charl-Pol contributes engineering and technological expertise spanning project management, metallurgy and welding, manufacturing, equipment repair and maintenance, together with an established Canadian industrial footprint.
Through Alumotion, these complementary capabilities will be combined in a Canadian organisation to support customers from engineering and project development through manufacturing, installation, and commissioning to operation, maintenance, and continuous improvement.
